About Jesus - Steve Sweetman Pontius Pilate Paul Maier is a great Christian historian. This book is a must to read. You not only learn about Pilate, but you learn lots about the society and culture in which he lived, and not only he, but the rest of those who we read about in the New Testament. This book fills in a lot of blanks that we don't see in the Bible. It will help you understand much more of the Bible as you read it through. I'd really recommend this book.
